Business Card Design

Every designer knows that it can be really hard to find time to design for yourself! After several embarrassing instances of being empty-handed when someone asked me for a card, I finally got to work on some designs:

I loved the idea of variety and lots of color, so I printed the back sides in various colors and included my site (this site is targeted to branding, logo design, web design, and advertising). The front side includes my name, title, and contact info.

And my favorite part? This little case that holds them…

Oh, color {sigh}

You make me so happy.

Romantic Engagement Party Invitations

Romance sets the tone for this engagement party invitation:

This invitation for a formal engagement party was all about the details.

The client wanted something that felt romantic and whimsical. She wanted the person that opened this invitation to be drawn in from the beginning–to immediately get a feel for the type of celebration being held.

We went with light, vintage-inspired colors and sweeping typography, where the honored couple’s names could shine. The paper is a beautiful candle-light tone and the texture really plays up the feel that we were going for!

A small hostess insert was included with the invite:

These invitations are definitely some of my favorites to date! Romance + whimsical = loveliness. :)

nimblee in Southern Living Weddings

Guess who’s in the latest edition of Southern Living Weddings?

If you guessed nimblee, you would be correct!

I was thrilled to be mentioned in the wedding article highlighting Rebecca Baum & Matt Hemrick! She’s long been a favorite client of mine. She has flawless taste and great vision for the end result, so she’s a dream to work with. When she told me that she was getting married in Alys Beach, I was immediately excited about the possibilities for her invitation suite. She wanted something timeless and classic with a fresh, modern, and “beachy” touch as well.

Below you will find some product shots that I had taken of Rebecca and Matt’s wedding invitation suite:

Rebecca wanted a mix of classic type and calligraphy, so I was able to collaborate with a calligrapher that she was using for several elements of the wedding, Pen and Pauper, for the bride and groom’s names. Once the calligraphy was implemented and the design was perfect, I sent it over to Patrick Masterson to be letterpressed. His craft is perfect, and he’s one of my favorite people to work with. The end result was timeless and unique.

Rebecca, thank you for letting me be a part of your special time! You were a joy to work with!

Need to contact me? You can also find the contact info for nimblee in the “Love It Get It” section in the back of Southern Living Weddings:

Or you can just click on “contact” at the top of this page. :)

But seriously, pick up an issue of this beautiful magazine. If you’re planning a wedding, you’re sure to find some gorgeous and unique inspiration. And if you’re not planning a wedding…well, you’ve been through the process. You know how much energy it takes to plan out every detail, so you’ll certainly enjoy reading about all of these!

Bridal Shower Invitation

I was thrilled to get to design recently for a close friend and a super cool bride! The host contacted me about designing something for her sister’s bridal shower–she wanted something modern and classy. I enjoyed taking some classic motifs and bringing a modern edge to them with pattern and color.

Here’s a shot of the back of the invite:

I know this shower was perfect! Best wishes, Anna, and thanks for letting me work on this with you, Laura Beth!
